Dan Martinez has broken onto the film-scoring scene as a fresh new
voice to be heard. His compositions have been
featured internationally, on television, and in
feature films. Directors and producers value his
unique understanding of story, his collaborative
disposition, and his dynamic musical range. They all
say the same thing...
Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2009 to persue film scoring, Dan has brought a professional musical voice to a number of feature films, short films, and web series. He has also had his pieces on television networks such as MTV, CBS, and NBC. Working as a studio assistant for esteemed composers Jeff Rona and Bill Brown, he has enjoyed the hands on experience of being involved in such projects as CSI:NY, Persons Unknown, and Apple's iMovie software. Most recently, he had completed a co-composed score for the Gary Sinise Foundation entitled "High Flight", and wrote the original end credits music for the award winning film "Resolution". His orchestral piece "Crescent Heights" was premiered in 2013 by CCM's Philharmonia Orchestra.
Dan graduated with a
Bachelor of Music degree from the College
Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. There he
studied a variety of music styles and production
techniques. He is trained in composition, orchestration,
conducting, performance, and sound engineering. His early career as a jazz pianist led him to
performances in Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean. He
has been featured performing with the Nelson Riddle
Orchestra, the Kentucky Symphony, and with renowned
singers Mandy Gaines and Nina Ferro. He

program in 2009, having the opportunity to study
